Tasting Note:
Fresh and subtle fruit notes, a delicate malt sweetness and balanced bitterness for a clean, snappy finish. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavourful, crisp and pure beer with blended layers of premium American and European hop aromas, brewed for the perfect balance of flavour and refreshment.
Background Information:
Known as "The King of Beers," Budweiser was first introduced by Adolphus Busch in 1876 and it's still brewed with the same high standards today, as it was then. Budweiser is a perfectly balanced, full flavoured American lager, not to mention the World's Favourite Beer Brand. Budweiser is an iconic American beer brewed with the highest quality barley malt and a blend of premium American Hop varieties. Budweiser's exclusive Beechwood aging process produces a smooth taste and superior quality, time and time again.
Brand Sustainability:
This year mark’s the 2nd year of our landmark campaign which announces that Budweiser is brewed with 100% renewable electricity. As the world’s biggest brewer, we believe it is our duty to make a difference. By producing the beer you love with renewable electricity, we are securing a brighter future for all of us, one kilowatt at a time. Since January 2021, every single can, bottle, and keg of Budweiser in the UK is now brewed with electricity from solar and wind sources. Budweiser Brewing Group generates enough renewable electricity in the UK to power the brewing operations of not only Budweiser but also Bud Light, Stella Artois, Corona, and Becks. With its very own wind turbine at Magor brewery, South Wales, and two dedicated solar farms, Budweiser is proudly committed to investing in sustainable energy infrastructure. Installed in December 2020, the towering wind turbine blades tips reach a height of 150 metres and sweep an area equivalent to two Wembley football pitches. Alongside our wind turbine, Budweiser has signed a 15-year deal with NextEnergy Solar Fund to use electricity generated by two solar farms.
Food Pairing:
When paired with cheese, Budweiser's hoppy flavours and carbonation cut through the richness of the dish. The beer will bridge or complement the smooth texture of aged cheese varieties. Budweiser pairs well with creamy desserts like crème brûlée and cheesecake, creating a smoothie-like texture and sweet flavour.
