This is a wine for lovers of grapes like Viognier wanting to try something different. It hails from the Marsala area of Sicily and was made from handpicked Grillo grapes, which were dried before fermentation. Then, after fermentation it spent time on its lees (yeast cells) before being bottled. The result is a straw yellow colour with flecks of gold. On the nose there are notes of dried fruits and nuts, with hints of oranges and grapefruit. On the palate it is an explosion of flavours like lime, pineapple, grapefruit and almond. Very complex and very delicious.
