The wine shows a complexity of fruit and baking spice characteristics from oak – everything present and nothing overwhelming. It is poised and elegant and a testament to the fact that Carmenere can be made into very elegant wines given the right fruit selection.
Food Match
This wine is superb paired with spicy food, such as Indian, Thai, Mexican and Spanish cuisine and other more complex dishes. It also goes well with semi-ripe cheese and strongly flavoured meat such as wild boar and venison.
